About CMYK and RGB Color Models
CMYK Color Model
CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Key/Black) is a subtractive color model used in color printing. This model works by partially or entirely masking colors on a lighter background, generally white. The CMYK model is used in the printing process, where ink is applied to paper in four layers.
RGB Color Model
RGB (Red, Green, Blue) is an additive color model used primarily for digital displays like computer monitors, smartphone screens, and televisions. These devices create color by emitting light directly, combining different intensities of red, green, and blue light to create millions of colors.
Conversion Considerations
When converting between CMYK and RGB, it's important to note that these color models have different color gamuts (ranges of colors they can represent). Some CMYK colors cannot be accurately represented in RGB and vice versa. This converter provides the closest possible RGB approximation of the CMYK color you input.
