How to Use RGB to CMYK Color Converter

1. Input RGB Values

Adjust the Red, Green, and Blue sliders to set your desired RGB color. You can also directly enter the values in the input boxes (0-255).

2. Use Hex Code

Alternatively, enter a hex color code (e.g., #ff69b4) in the Hex Code field. The RGB sliders will update automatically.

3. View Color Preview

The color preview box will display your current color selection in real-time.

4. Read CMYK Values

The CMYK values are automatically calculated and displayed as percentages. The visual bars help you understand the proportion of each component.

About RGB and CMYK Color Spaces

RGB Color Model

RGB (Red, Green, Blue) is an additive color model used for digital displays, where colors are created by adding different intensities of red, green, and blue light. Each component ranges from 0 to 255.

CMYK Color Model

CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Key/Black) is a subtractive color model used in color printing. Colors are created by applying different percentages of these four inks. Each component is expressed as a percentage from 0% to 100%.

Why Convert Between Them?

When designing for both digital and print media, you need to work with both color models. Colors may look different on screen (RGB) compared to print (CMYK), so this conversion helps you visualize the difference.

Note About Conversion

The RGB to CMYK conversion is an approximation as these color spaces have different gamuts (range of colors). Some RGB colors cannot be exactly reproduced in CMYK, especially bright and vibrant colors.
